~Kid-Tarakona

So, you've stumbled upon the page of the one they call Kid-Tarakona. Or just KT. A crazy, edgy, non-conformist half-English, quarter Polish, quarter Irish (with a little Australian and New Zealander thrown in the mix) twentysomething college student who at one point, who was getting herself all set to destroy the world, but then she decided she's not that kind of person.
I'm an artist of three different mediums; drawing traditionally, digitally and modelling with Fimo.
When I first came on this site aged 15 under my old account, I was a mess. An immature, delusional weaboo who believed drawing manga was the only way. But by age 19, I saw the light, and changed my wicked ways and have since been trying to develop a style that's more Western comic-based, although I still doodle the odd chibi. I studied Animal Care for 3 years straight and now I'm currently studying E-Media, which I'm using to develop my digital art and 3D model/animation skills, especially with 3DsMax, Mudbox, Maya, etc. I don't really have plans to go to uni, but we shall see. I've been pondering over the idea of becoming an apprentice upon completing my course, but uni will be my backup plan if that's not possible (that is if I can afford it). I also currently have a part-time job at my local dairy farm, where I help in feeding some overly inquisitive cows and I run a small business making Fimo figurines and jewellery, which I sometimes exhibit and sell at local craft fairs.
Drawing has always been my way of expressing my thoughts and it usually depends on my mood, even though I don't consider myself the best artist in the world. Although sometimes, there are days when my imagination goes completely through the roof and the end result is a complete abomination or something of pure awesomeness, but that's up to you to decide. Other inspirations include the music I listen to, things I read, watch and play and generally all the stuff that goes on in the world around me. I hope to write and draw a graphic novel someday, although my writing skills have severely deteriorated over the years.
When I'm not drawing, I like to play video games, work out, practice judo and kickboxing, read (comics and both regular and graphic novels do me nicely), go out for walks, shop, cook exotic food, cosplay, eat out and sleep. My gallery is bare due to me putting all my stuff away, but it's old crap. I haven't uploaded in a long time, but only because I wanted to further develop my style in private and will hopefully be uploading again in the future.
So yeah, that's me. Oh, and for those asking "What the hell is a tarakona?!", it's basically the Maori transliteration of the word dragon, but is not to be confused with the taniwha.
